Polycarbonate (referred to as PC) is a polymer containing a carbonate group in the molecular chain, which can be divided into aliphatic, aromatic, aliphatic-aromatic and other types according to the structure of the ester group. The low mechanical properties of aliphatic and aliphatic-aromatic polycarbonates limit their application in engineering plastics.
The three major application fields of PC engineering plastics are glass assembly industry, automotive industry and electronics, electrical industry, followed by industrial machinery parts, optical disks, packaging, computer and other office equipment, medical and health care, film, leisure and protective equipment.
PC can be used as door and window glass, PC laminate is widely used in banks, embassies, detention centers and public places of protective windows, used in aircraft cabin covers, lighting equipment, industrial security baffles and bulletproof glass.
2、PBT
Polybutylene terephthalate, English name polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), belongs to the polyester series, is made of 1.4-pbt butylene glycol (1.4-Butylene glycol) and terephthalic acid (PTA) or terephthalate (DMT) polycondensation, and through the mixing process to make milky white translucent to opaque, crystalline thermoplastic polyester resin.
PBT resin, namely polybutylene terephthalate, as one of the five general engineering plastics, is mainly used in PBT modification, PBT sizing, film drawing, optical fiber sheath and other fields, and can be widely used in automobile manufacturing, electronic and electrical, instrumentation, lighting appliances, home appliances, textiles, machinery and communications and other fields after enhanced modification.
