PC-PBT is a blend of PC and PBT materials, usually supplied in pellet form after blending.
PC-PBT is a blend of PC and PBT materials, usually supplied in pellet form after blending. If the two materials are simply mixed and directly injection molded, the results are poor, and delamination will occur.
The advantage of PC is that it is rigid and tough at room temperature, but it suffers from severe thermal deformation at high temperatures. Its disadvantages include stress cracking and high viscosity; the advantage of PBT is that its rigidity is not affected by temperature, resulting in minimal deformation. Thus, the blended material PC-PBT retains the advantages of both.
