nylon
Polyamide, commonly known as nylon (Nylon), English name Polyamide (PA for short), is a general term for thermoplastic resins containing repeating amide groups - [NHCO] - on the molecular backbone, including aliphatic PA, aliphatic-aromatic PA and aromatic PA. Among them, there are many varieties of aliphatic PA, large yield, and wide application, and its naming is determined by the specific number of carbon atoms of the synthetic monomer. It was invented by the famous American chemist Carothers and his research team.
