Nylon
Classification:
Details
Polyamide, commonly known as nylon, is a general term for thermoplastic resins that contain repeating amide groups —[NHCO]— in the molecular backbone, including aliphatic PA, aliphatic-aromatic PA, and aromatic PA. Among them, aliphatic PA has many varieties, large production, and wide applications, with its naming based on the specific number of carbon atoms in the synthetic monomer. It was invented by the famous American chemist Carothers and his research team.
