PC/ABS alloy can combine the excellent properties of the two. On the one hand, it improves the heat resistance and tensile strength of ABS, on the other hand, it reduces the viscosity of PC melt, improves the processing performance, and reduces the sensitivity of the internal stress and impact strength of the product to the thickness of the product.
PC and ABS have a certain degree of compatibility, but the compatibility of PC and ABS is greatly affected by factors such as the model, ratio and processing technology of the two components. In order to effectively improve interfacial compatibility, the most effective way is to add a compatibilizer to the blending system. The usual compatibilizers are: maleic anhydride MAH grafted POE, ABS graft, PE graft, polystyrene maleic anhydride grafted copolymer (SMA), acrylic acid or methacrylate copolymer, amino group, SAN, two-component capacity increaser, etc.
