　　Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is an engineering plastic. Its molecular structure contains both p‑methylphenyl ester side chains and terephthalic anhydride side chains, with a relatively broad molecular weight distribution and high reactivity of the side-chain functional groups. PEEK exhibits a glass transition temperature between 143 and 162 °C and a melting point ranging from 343 to 387 °C. It can be synthesized via a nucleophilic substitution reaction between 4,4′‑difluorobenzophenone and hydroquinone in the presence of an alkali metal salt.
